Gabe Horstick has been passionate about real estate since acquiring his first building at just 23 years old. He founded Campbell Street Asset Management in 2008 and later established Base 3 Development, which now owns and manages 650+ multifamily units. Over the years, Gabe has successfully developed and rehabilitated properties throughout Chicago, building and managing assets exceeding $300 million in total value. His deep knowledge of construction and design has allowed him to create high-quality living spaces that attract discerning renters. In addition to real estate, Gabe co-founded Staffolio, a rapidly growing international staffing firm that provides specialized offshore talent solutions for U.S. businesses. Between his staffing and real estate ventures, Gabe oversees more than 100 team members across multiple industries. Further enhancing his vertical integration, he also owns Base 3 Construction Inc., ensuring full control over the development and renovation of his projects. A licensed real estate broker in Illinois and Wisconsin, Gabe holds a double major in real estate and finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is deeply involved in the Chicago community, mentoring aspiring professionals and actively supporting PAWS and his church community group. Originally from Wisconsin, he enjoys summers visiting family there.
Alec manages all stages of the deal process for Base 3, from acquisition through development to long-term stabilization. He specializes in unlocking value from mismanaged buildings and land sites. He has been involved in the acquisition and successful repositioning of all buildings in the Base 3 portfolio.
In addition to his real estate work, Alec is the co-founder of Staffolio, a staffing company that helps U.S. businesses scale efficiently by providing offshore virtual assistants at a fraction of traditional hiring costs.
Alec is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and holds a double major in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling to Spanish-speaking countries.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Alec is co-president of the Edgewater Uptown Builders Association (EUBA), an active member of Chicago’s Sit Stay Read book club for children, and a member of the Jewish United Funds YLD board.
